Open Until March 1, 2026

The program will offer scholarships to four students. Applicants will be notified in April 2026 by the scholarship committee of final selections, and checks will be sent directly to the post-secondary institution being attended on behalf of each winning recipient.

This scholarship is designed to celebrate what makes rural communities special. Applicants are invited to share a story that highlights a person, group, event, tradition, or place that represents the heart of their rural community. Applicants must submit 3-5 photos OR one 15-30 second video clip, AND a written explanation, in their own words, describing why they chose their topic and what it means to their community. Creativity is encouraged, and there is no single "right" interpretation. This is an opportunity to showcase what makes your rural community unique and meaningful to you.
