Ag Partners Apprenticeship Program offers a pathway for students or adults to move into a new career field. If you are ready for a change or just starting your career, our apprenticeship program is the perfect place to start!      

Apprentices will be working alongside our employees earning an income and learning the technical and on-the-job skills to be successful in their career.


CDL Driver

As a CDL apprentice, you will shadow CDL Drivers in our Grain, Energy, and Agronomy departments. This gives apprentices a full-glimpse into career opportunities as a CDL Driver and gives YOU the option of choosing your next career path. 

Day-To-Day Activities:

  • Operating trucks on the road and unload products safely into the delivery area.
  • Delivering liquids and dry mixes, propane and fuel delivery, and grain.
  • Maintaining customer records, sales tickets, and truck log per DOT regulations.  
  • Promptly addressing customer and supplier needs.
  • Performing preventable and required maintenance on equipment and facilities. 

Custom Applicator

A custom applicator is responsible for applying agronomy products with a sprayer or spreading equipment. They must provide excellent customer service, safe and efficient application of chemicals and fertilizer products, as well as general maintenance and upkeep of equipment. The apprentice will learn about product treatments and operate the latest equipment and technology.  

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Mixing, delivering, and applying ag chemicals.
  • Maintaining application records of chemicals and fertilizer. 
  • Performing preventable and required maintenance on equipment and facilities.
