Grain Accountants are responsible for providing quality service, commodity purchasing and sales, as well as required administrative duties for the grain department.
Day-to-day activities:
- Using software to track daily grain movement.
- Pricing & paying producers for their grain.
- Processing freight payments for grain shipped to vendors.
- Processing money received from vendors for grain shipped out of our elevators.
Agronomy Account Manager

What is an Agronomy Account Manager?
An Agronomy Account Manager is responsible for the sales and services of seed, crop nutrients, and crop protection products to improve the producer’s production efficiency and profitability.
Day-to-day activities:
- Talking with producers to determine their needs and promote Ag Partners products and services.
- Assist growers with seed hybrid decisions and delivery prior to planting.
- Preparing orders of crop protection chemicals.
- Scouting customer fields for weeds and pests.
Marketing & Communications Specialist

What is a Marketing & Communications Specialist?
This role is responsible for communicating Ag Partners' mission and story to customers, employees, and local communities. They specialize in developing print, digital and broadcast content to promote the cooperative.
Day-to-day activities:
- Facilitating, designing, & implementing email campaigns, newsletters, radio ads, print ads, photography & videos.
- Managing the company website & social media platforms.
- Assisting with event planning & execution.
- Coordinating sponsorships, donations and other community involvement projects.
Crop Insurance Specialist

What is a Crop Insurance Specialist?
A licensed agent who administers the federal crop insurance program. They are a producer’s trusted advisor on protecting crops and livestock against yield and revenue loss. Risk management programs help ensure the producer's revenue and the long-term stability of an operation.
Day-to-day activities:
- Developing marketing strategies to promote crop insurance programs that are beneficial for producers.
- Keeping up-to-date on programs, regulations, and options for producers.
- Assisting producers with coverage selection, acreage reporting, production reporting, and payment of claims.
Digital Ag Technician

What is a Digital Ag Technician?
A digital ag technician is responsible for precise application and scouting of fields with drones along with conducting on-the-farm trials and research for producers.
Day-to-day activities:
- Working on a "Whole Crop Production" program for customers (seed, crop nutrients, and crop protection).
- Custom drone scouting and spraying.
- Utilizing agronomy tech tools to keep data up-to-date and available for customers (Climate View & EFC).
- Assist Agronomy Account Managers in plots and trials.
Custom Applicator

What is a Custom Applicator?
An applicator is responsible for excellent customer service, safe and efficient application of chemicals and fertilizer products, as well as general maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
Day-to-day activities:
- Mixing, delivering, and applying ag chemicals.
- Maintaining application records of chemicals and fertilizer.
- Performing preventable and required maintenance on equipment and facilities.
Welder/Fabricator

What is a Welder/Fabricator
Ag Partners' Welder/Fabricator's are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems and equipment.
Day-to-day activities:
- Conducts scheduled services and performs preventive maintenance.
- Installs and rebuilds equipment.
- Applies various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.) for fabrication and repair purposes.
- Uses various metals and works with equipment such as the lathe, mill, drill press, surface grinder, etc.
Energy Delivery Driver

What is an Energy Delivery Driver?
Energy delivery drivers are responsible for the delivery and sales of refined fuels, lubricants, and propane to the customers of the cooperative.
Day-to-day activities:
- Timely and efficient delivery of refined fuels and propane.
- Safety checks on customers’ propane and fuel tanks and systems.
- Processing sales tickets, routing deliveries, promptly addressing customer needs, and providing great customer service.
Operations Technician

What is a Operations Technician
The operations technician assists all departments with any maintenance or equipment needs. If you enjoy being outside and doing something different every day, this is the job for you.
Day-to-day activities:
- Driving a fertilizer tender truck and chemical reloads.
- Unloading and loading grain trucks, feed, chemicals, and fertilizer.
- Unloading and loading grain trucks
- Filling anhydrous tanks and transporting them to producers.
